What $50 a month covers
- A simple business website that reads well on a phone and on a computer.
- Hosting, handled by me.
- Up to three small content changes each month, requested by email.
- A contact form, if you want one.
- One person to deal with: me, from design through launch and every change after.
What counts as a small change
A new photo
Replace one existing image.
Different hours
Update your opening hours.
A text edit
Change a piece of existing copy.
One photo replacement, an hours update, or an edit to existing text counts as one small change. You get up to three each month, and unused changes don’t carry over.
New pages, a redesign, and new features sit outside the allowance. If you need one of those, I’ll explain what’s involved and agree it with you before I start.
What isn’t included
This plan is for brochure websites: the kind that tell customers what you do and how to reach you. Online ordering, booking systems, customer accounts, and custom applications are outside it. If your business needs one of those, ask me about custom work, agreed with you separately.
Your domain name is registered in your name, and you pay its registration and renewal directly to your registrar. I can help you set it up.
How a monthly plan compares
With a website builder, the monthly fee pays for software, and the design, writing, and updates are your job. With a traditional build, you usually pay a project fee up front, then pay separately for hosting and changes.
This plan puts the build, the hosting, and routine small changes into one monthly price, so the cost of keeping your website current is predictable.
- What a website costs Website builders, freelancers, agencies, and monthly plans compared: what you pay up front, what you pay every month, and the costs people forget.
- Builder or web designer? Wix and Squarespace or someone who builds and looks after your website for you? Compare cost, time, control, and results before you decide.
Month-to-month terms
There’s no long contract. Cancel by email, and your site stays live through the period you’ve paid for.
Your domain and the content and photos you supply remain yours. The website code is owned by Tawkee and stays with me. Billing arrangements are agreed with you directly before the full build starts.
A few practical questions.
Do I pay anything before I see a design?
No. The homepage preview is free, and asking for one doesn’t start a subscription. You decide after you’ve seen it.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
The plan is month-to-month. Cancel by email, and hosting continues through the period you’ve paid for.
Can I add a page later?
New pages are outside the small-change allowance. Tell me what you need, and I’ll explain what’s involved before any extra work begins.
Does the price change for businesses outside Frederick County?
No. It’s $0 setup and $50 a month wherever your business is, and everything can be handled by email.
